Current emissions legislation means that all new bikes are fitted with fuel injection with an ECU which needs checking, just like any other part of the bike. The latest additions to bikes' electronics systems are complex CANBUS networks which integrate individual electronic systems (fuel-injection, CO adjustment, immobiliser, fault codes, service lamps, ABS) - even scooter manufacturers use CAN systems now. Although motorcycle manufacturers offer specific diagnostic tools for their own dealer networks, working on part-exchanged and used bikes requires a more affordable and universal alternative. Otherwise you would need a different electronic tool for every make you service. Texa currently provide the most comprehensive motorcycle coverage available from any other supplier in the world today. Regular updates (by optional subscription service) ensure that you will always have the latest coverage available.

The Navigator TXBE uses Windows IDC5 software with Bluetooth connection between the bike and PC, with no trailing wires as a result. With the Navigator TXBE it is possible to read and erase error messages, check system parameters, reset service warning lights, adjust fuelling, perform active tests and much more. The PC software includes additional features like wiring diagrams and video information showing diagnostic connection locations etc. A further feature of the IDC5 software is the ability to store diagnostic information from the vehicle and save this using the registration number. This enables the operator to recall the bike's data, previous service information and test results at a later date thus saving valuable technician time. Updating is fully automatic – the IDC5 Windows software checks at every startup for available updates via the internet (internet connection and update subscription required).

The Navigator TXBE is a low cost solution, as you supply the PC. This also gives a degree of future-proofing as you can update the PC as better versions become available and you can choose between a touchscreen laptop, slate or desktop PC. Upgrading from an older Texa bike tool is viable as all the cables are interchangeable.

For bikes that don't support communication via a diagnostic socket, dashboard displayed fault codes are shown for fast troubleshooting without a library of service manuals. An (optional) annual subscription service is available to provide updates for new models and features as they are introduced.  Cables are available individually so you can just purchase the ones you need. The Texa TXBE is an expandable, updatable, future-proof system - the only motorcycle diagnostic system you will need. Coverage for Texa motorcycle systems is unrivalled – the software features more motorcycle manufacturers and models than any other system and is continually updated with new models and cables.

The Navigator TXBE can also be used to record data from a road or dyno test - useful for analysing system performance under specific conditions and for isolating intermittent faults. The Global Scan function interrogates all ECUs on the bike for errors with just one click.
