How do I pay?

We accept payment via PayPal or Credit/Debit Card. For other options, please contact us.

Do I have to set up an account?

No, you do not need to set up an account before purchasing from our website; however it will make future purchases with us much quicker. 

Do you offer discounts?

We may be able to offer a discount if you’re placing a large order, or if you are a reseller. Please contact us if you require more information.

Are you still open during the outbreak of the Coronavirus?

Yes. Following the government advice we are operating a skeleton staff and working from home where possible. We will continue to fulfill orders unless circumstances change further - please contact us if you need any further advice.

When will my order be delivered?

Small orders placed before 12pm will be delivered in 1-2 working days within the UK via DPD. (Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland are 2-3 day delivery service).

Larger orders are usually a 2-3 day delivery service via EFM. (A next-day delivery upgrade can be arranged at additional cost).

Our non-stock items will need to be ordered in for you, at which point we will advise you of delivery times. 

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Currently we cannot deliver outside the UK due to Brexit complications affecting our courier. We hope this problem will be solved shortly and we can continue to deliver to Europe, and indeed the rest of the world as before.

Can you provide parts for my old equipment?

We aim to ensure that we provide the best after-sales service possible. This includes providing support and keeping spares for our equipment long after products are discontinued or superseded by manufacturers. See our Spare Parts category.

Do you provide servicing?  

Yes we do - we offer onsite and offsite servicing. Please see our service and repair page.

Does my product come with a warranty?

All of our products come with a warranty. If you would like to know the warranty period of a specific product, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise.

Which OptiMate do I need?

When choosing your OptiMate, it is best to consider what will be the main use for the charger. If you will mainly use it for motorcycle battery maintenance, but may occasionally also charge a car battery, an OptiMate 1, 2, 3 or 4 will be fine. Best for bikes? OptiMate 3 or 4.

If your main use is for a car, OptiMate 5 or 6 would be best. To occasionally also charge a motorcycle battery, choose an Ampmatic charger like OptiMate 6 or 7.

For faster charging of large batteries, OptiMate 7 will be most suitable. 

For professional use like commissioning of new batteries, see the OptiMate Pro chargers. 

For 6V or 24V charging choose the specific chargers specially designed for this purpose.

What is OptiMate CANbus?

OptiMate 4 Dual Program has a function to connect to batteries of BMW motorcycles which have CANbus (or LINbus) wiring. These bikes have 12V DIN sockets which are designed to turn off 15 minutes after the ignition is turned off. When set in the CANbus program, the OptiMate 4 can be used to keep the socket awake, so these bikes can be charged via the socket for as long as you like.

Please Note: OptiMate 4’s “CANbus” program only applies to BMW Motorcycles.

Can my OptiMate be used with Lithium Batteries?

We only recommend our OptiMate lithium chargers for charging lithium batteries. In certain circumstances, using a traditional lead-acid charger could cause damage to a lithium battery hence we cannot recommend it.

Can you advise me which product is best?

We are happy to advise about any motorcycle workshop tools and equipment. Our advice is free and second-to-none. We take pride in our integrity and we won't try to sell you anything you don't need.

Where are your products made?

We are an independent firm and are free to source the highest quality products from all over the world. In addition to our UK manufactured products we currently import from Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Korea, Italy, Japan and the United States. We have the largest and most comprehensive range of motorcycle tools and equipment available in the UK today.

Can I return my product?

We are happy to accept returns, but please contact us before doing so, as we will need to issue you with a returns number first.

What if my item is faulty?

If you feel your item is faulty, please contact us as we may be able to resolve the issue over the phone or via email. Once you have spoken to our technical team, we can provide the best course of action for your query.
